Melissa Balli

MELISSA BALLI received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas A&M International University. She has earned a Master’s in Music Performance and Master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A&M University. She served as Concert Master to both of her university orchestras and performed recitals from the studios of Yu-Mei Huang and Rossitza Goza. In 2011, she won the Third Annual Laredo Philharmonic Concerto Competition with Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in d minor. Melissa is the Director of Orchestral Studies and Assistant Professor of Violin at Victoria College where she conducts Crossroads Strings, teaches private violin lessons, music theory, and music appreciation. Melissa performs with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and throughout the community. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at the University of Houston with Dr. Kirsten Yon.
